The quality of the Netflix video through their iPod touch app tonight makes it totally unwatchable. As I'm on my wifi speed isn't an issue.

I remember when I used to be able to plug in my iPod and it would just sync. Since iOS 5.0 it is now about 30 minutes of multiple attempts.
